About G&L

Leo Fender was never satisfied with “getting it right the first time.” For most people, creating some of the most iconic - and imitated - guitars and basses known to the world would have been enough. But Leo Fender was not “most people.” Founded in 1980 with George Fullerton, G&L Musical Instruments allowed Leo’s innovative spirit to continue flourishing from the historic CLF Research factory on Fender Avenue in Fullerton, California.

Central to the G&L identity are Leo Fender’s Dual Fulcrum vibrato, Saddle Lock bridge and Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups, though G&L’s range of instruments has grown to include more classic tones from models equipped with Alnico pickups, including the popular Legacy guitar and JB bass. G&L instruments fit a wider range of budgets, too, from the Tribute Series up through G&L Custom Shop offerings, for the ultimate Fender Avenue experience.
